Reconcile:
To change and come down to the same exact point. In the Bible, reconciliation means the restoration of a broken relationship, changing a state of enmity and separation into one of peace, harmony, and fellowship. (Bible Study Tools)
If you’re working full-time, you’re spending the majority of the life Jesus died to save in the workplace. It’s one thing to be “saved”, and another to be reconciled to God. If your work life hasn’t truly been reconciled to God, the good news that saves you hasn’t reached one of the most important areas of your life.
You Must Be Born Again
In John 3:5, Jesus teaches the necessity of being born of water and the Spirit. He says it is a must, meaning a requirement. Spiritual rebirth is not optional. It makes a person a child of God with the power to live and work as one. Believing I’m a child of God gets lost in application when it comes to work because how to truly be spiritually reborn, and what to expect as a new creation in Christ, is no longer taught in most churches. Repentance is a necessary part of being born of water and the Spirit (John 3:6). It is the thing that actually brings us into a reconciled relationship with God because we’ve turned away from sin and turned to God instead. Sin, which separates, is renounced, and we are no longer in a state of enmity with the Lord (Acts 2:38).
One reason work is filled with frustrations, stresses, and disappointments is the loss of the knowledge of the eternal identity and purpose which can only be found through becoming a new creation in Jesus Christ. Attempting to live a new life without the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit eventually leads to discouragement. Many are struggling in life and especially at work in this way.
A New Hope
Jesus dealt with sin and death in order to bring us to God (1 Peter 3:18). He came to make “all things new”, including believers (2 Corinthians 5:17). How? By offering us a new covenant and a new nature that changes our identity and purpose for living and working…here, now, and for eternity. This ministry is here to help.
